I am sooooo excited now!

だって今日の午後、ついに神戸チャーチ初の洗礼式があるから！
This afternoon, we will have our very first baptisms in Kobe!!!

神様によって人生が変えられた人が、その心をみんなの前で表すお祝い。
みんながその人たちのために祈って迎える、大切な日。
楽しみだね（＾＾）
Baptism is a celebration for people who have been changed by God and want to show everyone that God has changed their hearts!
It’s a precious day when we can pray for those who are getting baptized.
I’m so excited!

でも今日は、一昨日あった、チャーチのお話！
But today, I want to talk about church on Thursday!

今回のチャーチは、いつもチャーチで歌ってる曲「Everything in Colour」がテーマでした。
This time, our theme was “Everything in Colour”, which is the name of a song we sing at church.

将来が見えなくて、希望がなくて、真っ暗だった世界。
そして、神様に出会って、生きる希望が見えて、色づいて見える世界。
For all of us, the world used to be black with no future and hope.
But after we met God, our world became full of colour with hope for our lives.

それを、いろんなものを通してみんなに感じてもらいたい、
そんな想いで用意された今回のチャーチ。
We wanted everyone to feel this change from a dark to colorful life.
So with that in mind, we prepared many things just for this service.

ある女の子は、みんなの前で自分のストーリーを話してくれたよ。
One girl shared her story in front of everyone.

昔は、自分には価値がないと思ってた。
いつも自分を低く見てたから、誰かに暴力振るわれても、ひどい扱いされても、『自分はそんな価値しかないから、しょうがない』って思ってた。
She used to think she had no value.
So even when someone hit her or did something bad to her, she thought it couldn’t be helped because she wasn’t worth much anyways.

でも神様に出会って、自分には価値があるって知った。
But when she met God, she knew that she had value.

わたしの目には、あなたは高価で尊い。
わたしはあなたを愛している。
イザヤ43:4
You are precious and honored in my sight.
And I love you.
Isaiah 43:4 (directly translated)

この箇所を彼女が読んだとき、初めて自分の本当の価値を知ったって。
神様は、自分のことを愛してくれてるって分かってから、自信を持つことができた。
そして今はもう、暗闇を歩く必要はない。
光の中を、歩いてる。
When she read this scripture, she understood her true value for the first time.
She was able to gain confidence because she accepted God’s love for her.
Now she doesn’t have to walk in the darkness.
She is walking in the light!

そしてもう一人の女の子は、この日のチャーチのために、布を染めてくれた。
真っ黒な世界から、色づく世界へ。
神様が変えてくれる人生を、布で表してくれた。
For the service, another girl did the creative design for church and tie-dyed some strips of cloth.
The image was the world changing from darkness to color.
It expressed a life that has been changed by God.

彼女は今、大学4回生。
就活しながら、チャーチに通う、普通の女の子。
She is a fourth year uni student.
She is just a normal girl who is job hunting and coming to church.

でも彼女には、大きな病気があった。
生まれつき肺に穴があって、お医者さんから「大学生になるまでは生きられないでしょう。」と宣告されてた。
But she had a serious disease.
From birth, she had a hole in her lung. Her doctor told her “You won’t live to become a university student.”

それでも彼女は、諦めなかった。
神様に、癒しを求め続けた。
Even still, she didn’t give up.
She kept seeking God for healing.

わたしは、おまえたちのために立てた計画をよく知っている。　
それは災いではなく祝福を与える計画で、ばら色の将来と希望を約束する。
エレミヤ書 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11

彼女が神様からもらった言葉は、余命宣告とは真反対の言葉だった。
だから彼女は信じ、祈り続けた。
The words she got from God were opposite to the words from the doctor.
So she kept believing and praying to God.

そして今年、彼女は大学4回生。肺の穴は、完治した！
Now she is a fourth year student in university! And her lung is totally healed!

「神様なんていない」
っていうのは、簡単かもしれない。
だって、誰にも見えないし、触れないから。
Maybe it is easy to say “There is no God”.
Because you can’t see God; you can’t touch God.

でも、チャーチにいるみんながこうして、身体的に、精神的に癒されていく姿を見ていて、誰が疑えるだろう？
But, who can doubt people, like these two girls, who are getting healed physically and mentally in the church?

ここには、紛れもない真実がある。
We have the real truth here!!

それは、神様だけがくれる、癒し。
It is healing that only God can give to us.

だれでもキリストのうちにあるなら、その人は新しく造られた者です。古いものは過ぎ去って、見よ、すべてが新しくなりました。
2コリント5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
2 Corinthians 5:17

はじめは誰だって半信半疑。
でも、世界の何より大きいイエスを信じるなら、あなたも絶対に変われる。
ここにいる人たちだけが特別なんじゃない。
何も知らなくたっていい。聖書を読んだことなくたっていい。
手を伸ばしてみよう、神様に。
At first, everyone can’t help but doubt a little.
But if you believe in Jesus, who is bigger than anything else in this world, you can also change.
People in church are not special cases.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t know anything or if you’ve never read the Bible.
Just reach out to God.

神様は、絶対にこたえてくれる神様だから！
Because God is the one who can answer us!神様だけがくれる癒しを、求めてみよう。
もう真っ黒じゃない。色づく世界が、あなたに用意されてるから（＾＾）！
Let’s seek healing only God can give us.
Your world is not black and white any more.
A world full of colour is waiting for you!!

We usually have LG at café or restaurant enjoying chatting, getting more passionate, and encouraging each other!
